This enterprise came into being five years ago, in the diligent hands of a teenager. Sanjana Singh, the founder, the artist, and the CEO sought to defy the
conventions by venturing into an independent business, whilst she was only a student. With a little bit of DIY material, a pivotal word of advice from a family friend, colossal amount of support from family, and a heart full of ardor Sanjana created ‘Handmade by Sanjana’. She has now rebranded her establishment to
be called ‘Aglow’. Aglow is essentially a revamped version of Handmade by Sanjana, with healthier brand values and superior merchandise.
The Past: HANDMADE BY SANJANA
In 2016, Sanjana took a gap year after her 12th grade and decided to explore DIY’s. She started the activity just to be productive and put her creative juices to use in her free time. After some research and reading, Sanjana ended up making handmade soaps and fabricated twenty pieces. On handing them out to friends and family, she was flooded with positive feedback and a collective demand for more. Recognizing Sanjana’s dexterity in the craft of soap-making, her father’s friend gave her an opportunity to put up a stall at an exhibition. She had made 120 soaps and was sold out on the very second day. Consequently, ‘Handmade by Sanjana’ became a full-blown, quaint brand. Along with creating, selling, and marketing, she also started teaching the art of soap-making. Our creator holds the accolade of the youngest soap-making coach in Bangalore.
The Present: AGLOW
A pass-time turned into a hobby, a hobby turned into a part-time business, a part-time business transformed into a brand. Aglow is a reinforced revival of Handmade by Sanjana. With this, we present a sustainable yet lavish lifestyle to our exclusive customer base. The defining principles of Aglow are titled:
Elegant, Lush, and Soothing.
Elegant: Our products radiate grace in every form. They are handmade and meticulously created in small batches. They are elegant in style, aroma, and feel. The ingredients we use are natural, safe, and rejuvenating. Our merchandise is imbibed with ample good-oils and butters. This ensures better moisturizing, aesthetic, and aromatic effects compared to commercially manufactured soaps.
Lush: Our aim is to make the customer feel lush while leaving the environment healthy and lush, as well. We make conscious choices of raw materials, processes, and packaging. At Aglow, we work hard to ensure our store policies are fair, clear, and transparent. By pursuing community-driven practices, we strive to become
responsible for the health of our community and the environment. We follow minimum wastage techniques and use recycled boxes to pack our products.
Soothing: When we say Aglow is soothing, we mean it is soothing holistically. In addition to nourishing your skin, our products are crafted for your mental well-being. The therapeutic ingredients release dopamine and endorphins to alleviate your mental and physical stress. With Aglow, you start your day not just by cleansing but also by strengthening yourself inside-out.

Affordable luxury brand: The objective is to make luxurious, goodness rich products accessible to most of us. We are the makers of food for skin and we believe everyone deserves it.
Responsible: We pledge to continue being responsible towards the earth. We look forward to innovating more eco-friendly ways of living and merchandising.
Collaborations: We hope to collaborate and expand with other artists and manufacturers who share our brand’s ethos. Because the, more the merrier, right?
What's in a name?
Aglow

Definition: glowing especially with warmth or excitement.
Sanjana and her family were in Coorg for a vacation. The goal was to find a name for the brand by the end of the trip. Throughout, all the members kept pitching names for the brand. Some sounded great but nothing felt like the perfect fit. As Sanjana and her father sat on the balcony, sipping on a can of beer, the moment felt absolutely calming and picturesque. Sanjana’s dad said, “Aglow!”, and it was their Eureka moment.
Aglow stands for every product Sanjana makes and it just resonated with the soul of the brand.
